Mental Health Difficulties and Diagnoses

New phases of our life can present us with new challenges and these may take the form of formal diagnoses such as anxiety and depression and significant interruptions to our lives and routines or these may be more feelings of being “stuck” or unsure how to proceed in a way in line with our values and goals.

Navigating Relationships

At the core of our lives are our relationships and finding ways to communicate well within them can make a big difference in our well-being.  Whether navigating communication, shifts in a relationship dynamic, or even coping through a separation or break-up, these changes are sometimes the most difficult we can face and having space to explore can be essential.

Developing Meaning and Purpose Through Life Transitions

Meaning and purpose can be created through our activities, our careers, our values, and of course our relationships.  When there is a shift in any of these, sometimes we are faced with an immense challenge.  There is always opportunity to develop meaning and purpose and sometimes what can present as an immense difficulty or crisis, can also provide a space to grow.

Coping with ADHD

Young Adults and Students

Navigating university, college and early adulthood can be a time of intense growth, challenge, and self-discovery. During this period, many individuals face unique pressures, such as academic demands, lack of structure and routine, career decisions, evolving relationships, integrating into new social groups and exploring identity and purpose. Together we can work through challenges that often come up in these life phases such as stress, anxiety, depression, and self-doubt while building confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.

Counselling for Men

Our society places a lot of expectations on men and the expression of feelings has in the past been less encouraged.  Of course we all need spaces to be heard and to explore goals, roles, relationships, and  purpose.  Articulating feelings and concerns can often be the first step in enhancing relationships and problem-solving
